Feng Shui for fertility

By

When using Feng Shui to encourage fertility, the whole idea is to achieve a deep sense of harmony and balance in your life. How beautiful that you are opening yourself up to receive the blessings of carrying another soul within your body or going to support someone with this

Calculating Your Personal Trigram/ Pa Kua

Calculating the elements and best directions for the bride and Groom to stand while getting married and to sit in the reception area

Calculating the Male Trigram

  1. Subtract 1 from the birth year if born before 2/4 or 2/5
  1. Add ALL of the digits of your birth year until it reduces to a single number.
  1. Subtract this single number from 11.  The result is your Gua number.
  1. If the result is 5, the gua becomes 2.

(i.e., a man born on 1/23/1978 would use 1977 – see rule #1, 1+9+7+7=24, 2+4=6, 11-6=5,

5 becomes 2

(i.e., a man born on 5/23/1978, 1+9+7+8=25, 2+5=7, 11-7=4

Calculating the Female Trigram

  1. Same as above
  1. Same as above

Add 4 to this single number.  The result is your Gua number.

If the result is 5, the gua becomes 8.

(i.e., a woman born on 1/23/1978 would use 1977, 1+9+7+7=24, 2+4=6, 6+4=10, 1+0=1)

(i.e., a woman born on 5/23/1978, 1+9+7+8=25, 2+5=7, 7+4=11, 1+1=2)

(i.e., a girl born on 5/2/2003, 2+3=5, 5 becomes 8)

The Chinese Year Number is calculated the same as the Male Trigram:

2009 = 2 + 9 = 11, 1 + 1 = 2, 11 – 2 = 9

2010 = 2 + 1 = 3, 11 – 3 = 8

1977 = 1 + 9 +7 + 7 = 24, 2 + 4 = 6, 11 – 6 = 5 (does NOT become an 8)

After working out your Feng Shui number (Pa Kua number) See below to see what your Feng Shui Element is

 #1 Is water

#2 Earth

Water material:  metal fountains, aquariums and pools

Wood’s color:  Green (the color is not as affective the element

Fire’s color:  Reddish like a flame, reds and purples, burgundy, cranberry

The 5 elemental Cycles

The creative cycle is one of harmony and generation. It represents a positive, nurturing transformation from one phase of chi energy to another. Burning Wood produces fire ® Fire leaves behind Earth ® Earth is the source of Metal ® Metal liquefies into a substance flowing like water, Metal creates water with condensation ® Water helps wood thrive.

Destructive Cycle extinguishes fire ® Fire melts metal ® Metal pierces wood ® Wood draws from the earth ® Earth blocks the water

The Reductive Cycle Wood absorbs water into its roots to allow the plant to grow ® Water corrodes the metal, turning it to rust ® Metal weakens the earth by using the earth’s energy to sustain an environment to allow it to form ® Earth reduces fire ® Fire reduces wood by burning it to ashes. The Reductive Cycle is used to weaken the dominating element without having to destroy it completely, unlike the destructive cycle.

For example: If your Feng Shui element (Pa Kua Number) is #3 or # 4 Wood, Bringing the wood and or water colors and elements will feed and support you. Bringing the colors of Greens and blues, adding plants or a small water feature.

A #6 or #7 metal person would not be recommended to add too much fire colors this would weaken their element

Best time to get pregnant

The ancient Chinese had found out the best month to get pregnant, in different ages. For the best chance of falling pregnant you should consistently have sex on that month. In addition, the woman’s age should be based on the Lunar Calendar.

Age 20 – February ; 21 – March ; 22 – April ; 23 – May ; 24 – June ; 25 – July ; 26 – August ; 27 – September ; 28 – October ; 29 – November ; 30 – December ; 31 – January ; 32 – February ; 33 – March ; 34 – April ; 35 – May ; 36 – June ; 37 – July ; 38 – August ; 39 – September ; 40 – October ; 41 – November ; 42 – December 43 – January 44- February

Its important that the NW corner of the home on both inside and out are kept clear and open this is refereed to as heavens gates and the energy needs to be open and flowing here for the life force to enter the home

Outside the home

  • Plant a fruit tree—then take good care of it! Fruit trees are an ancient symbol of fertility, and the more fruit your tree produces, the higher your chances of conceiving. It would be even more helpful it was located in the West section of the garden
  • Remove anything blocking the front door, such as a tree, overgrown bushes, even a car parked in front of your house. The front door is the “mouth of chi,” so blocking the door prevents positive energy from entering your home.
  • Eliminate “poison arrows,” especially those pointing toward your front door. Poison arrows are corners that make sharp angles, either inside or outside your home, and slash through the power that comes with good chi. If you can’t get rid of them, try to cover them up with plants (this works inside as well as outside).
  • Make sure the chi is getting inside the home and there are no trees or poles in-line with the front door preventing energy from flowing inwards

Inside the home

  • Keep it “calm”—you might want to put off remodeling the kitchen or starting any other big project while trying to conceive.
  • Make sure all your plants are well cared for, and get rid of any that have seen better days.
  • Doors or windows aren’t blocked – Chi moves through house without bumping into barriers or blockades such as misplaced objects, boxes or furniture.
  • All rooms free of clutter
  • House clean and regular cleaning schedule maintained
  • No dishes allowed piling up in the sink
  • All sinks, tubs, toilets clean and in good working condition
  • Windows clean inside and outside
  • All light bulbs work and those burned out replaced
  • All equipment works
  • Plants healthy and cared for regularly

(please refer to check list)

Main entrance to home well lit and nothing blocking the energy from entering.

Your bedroom needs to be given the utmost attention in preparation of conception.

  • Keep the area under your bed clear and clutter free
  • No woman should ever sleep under a ceiling fan while like blade over the head
  • Sleeping on green sheets will heal any malady or remove any energy blockages that might be preventing conception from occurring while also allowing for a healthy pregnancy to implant.
  • Clear all of the clutter from the tops of the dressers, closets, and any debris on the floor.
  • Make sure there is not too much red in the bedroom could make it stressful  make sure the colors are calming such as earth tones

Feng Shui decoration really can influence a couple’s sex life and fertility. Your bedroom represents your romantic life. No sex drive? It is said that the warm colors can charge your bedroom with sex positive energy. There are warm colors like light purple; light pink; light yellow etc.  Remember, dark purple not good in the bedroom this leads to sexual frustration

The South West location is the area for love and romance this area should also be free of any clutter

Kitchen the heart of the home

  • Make sure you do not have too much red color  in the kitchen already enough fire with the stove soft earth tones would be good
  • To keep the good energy flowing, cut back on clutter on surfaces and keep your kitchen clean from stains, mold, and dirt.
  • Healthy growing things are a wonderful presence in the kitchen. Why not fill your kitchen with potted aromatic herbs for easy access while you cook?
  • If you are cooking with your back toward the kitchen door, it’s important to have a mirror or something reflective in front of you, so you can see people entering.
  • A harmonious kitchen will bring positive energy to all the meals made in it!
  • How You Cook Matters
  • Though a microwave is convenient for our busy schedules, you might want to reconsider the microwave in your kitchen.
  • If you must, use the low setting to heat food, and only place in glassware, ceramic or lead-free terra cotta bowls. But your best option is to se a small toaster oven or steam oven to warm your foods. Take the time to warm up your food in a safe and healthy way. Avoid Teflon, or plastic-coated pots and pans; the safest cookware is one made from porcelain-coated cast iron.
  • I recommend using the Ionizer, which is a whole house cleaner that utilizes ionized water to kill bacteria.

The West is the Children location of the home

The color white and/or metallic colors like gold and silver

The shape of a circle

A metal element

The bedroom, The West area which is the children area of the home or the East which is family are the best locations to place the following items/ symbols that we will be discussing next

 Fertility symbols

The association with reproduction, babies and fertility serves to reinforce the energy each one attracts into your home and your life. Place a mirror under any of these items to multiply it’s power

  • Dragons: Placed on the side table of the man’s side of the bed, the dragon can add a little extra “oomph” in the bedroom. Make sure the dragon is small; otherwise, it will create too much “yang” energy in the room and make rest difficult.
  • Elephants: Place a pair of elephants on either side of the bedroom door. Elephants are associated with pregnancy. Or, place one statue of an elephant in the living room. Placed prominently in the bedroom, elephants are said to produce male children. Rub your elephant to bring more children into your family.
  • Double fish: The double fish is a symbol of marital union. Display this in the southwest corner of your bedroom.
  • Single piece of hollow bamboo: Place this in the north sector of the bedroom to enhance fertility. These are said to aid conception. (Black sect cure)
  • Red paper lanterns: hung on either side of the bed, these are believed to bring excellent yang (creative)energy to the bedroom.
  • Pomegranates symbolize fertility. You can use a pair of pictures of pomegranates in the bedroom to help draw the energy.
  •  A painting of the fruit sliced open to reveal the abundant red seeds is very auspicious. You can also place a bowl of ripe pomegranates in the bedroom. Be sure to exchange the fruit regularly so it stays fresh.
  • You can use other fruits instead of pomegranates. Hang a photo or painting of an apple orchard or orange grove over your bed. Since fruit is a symbol of fertility, an orchard depicts abundance.
  • You can place some of these fertility symbols throughout your home to help draw beneficial chi inside. In addition to your bedroom, activate the west sector of your home by placing a few symbols in those rooms.
  • Rabbit, Stork, Elephant
  • Place a bowl of eggs, Pier 1 imports are selling some really cutes white eggs in metal bowls right now.
  • Quan Yin The Chinese goddess of mercy is also called mother goddess. She grants children to childless couples. (Don’t place deities in bedrooms. It’s considered disrespectful.)
  • Add these items to your altar or and vision board

While you may be tempted to use all of the suggestions mentioned, remember that balance is the key to proper feng shui application and choose a couple of these that really resonate with you. You need to be very conscientious about achieving this balance when working with feng shui for fertility.

Remove any Items that could be making your home toxic

  • Toss away the toxic cleaning products and go back to basics. (please see notes that were email)
  • These days, there is an abundance of natural cleaning products on the market which are safe to use and will bring cleanliness to your kitchen without putting toxins in the environment.
  • If you have a Gluten intolerance trouble conceiving is often connected to gluten intolerance, and a Gluten free diet is a good idea
